foraging

This weekend I went to the countryside and did a little foraging. It's so nice to be out in the open air, especially with all this beautiful autumnal weather. I picked some sloes, to make sloe gin and some rosehips to make rosehip jelly. Apparently rosehips have more vitimin C in them than oranges and they can also be used as itching powder! Listen to this to find out more.

Isn't it brilliant - nature gives you nice tasting things for free, but most people don't even notice.

freecycle rules!

I've just joined the freecycle nework it's brilliant! You join a group in your area and then if you're getting rid of something you advertise your item (things such as beat up cars, computers, chairs, magazines - whatever rubbish you want to get rid of that could be another man's treasure) and then someone can respond and pick it up from you. That means less stuff is going into landfill sites and you get to get things for free.

I needed a new hoover and just got meself one on freecylce.

I'm now getting rid of some old chairs and draws and things I don't need in my flat. You should join up!

Bromheads Jacket spotted in ILK

The legendary to some, Mr Jono West, from Bromheads Jacket was seen wearing one of ilks first generation of shirts at a recent gig in Sheffield. Jono, we salut you. Who would have thought someone officially classed as a giant could be slim enough to fit into a small! If you've never heard of bromheads jacket, visit them here,
